The BSc (Hons) Psychology course explores how and why people act in the way that they do. You will study the human mind and behaviour while developing the research, analytical and communication skills needed to investigate psychological questions.
The course focuses on applying psychology to real-world settings and problems. You will build understanding of psychological theory, research design, data collection, analysis and interpretation, while exploring areas such as cognitive, social, biological, developmental and individual differences psychology.
This British Psychological Society accredited course is the first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist, while also developing transferable skills valued across many sectors.
This course is for students interested in people, behaviour, mental processes, research and the practical application of psychology to areas such as health, education, work, wellbeing and society.
Graduates can progress towards further training in psychology, postgraduate study, research or graduate roles in health, education, social care, human resources, marketing, public services, community work and many other people-focused sectors.
The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society and can form the first step towards chartered psychologist status.

At Level 10, you’ll complete your Psychology Dissertation alongside Professional Pathways in Psychology and work-related learning, with opportunities to explore specific professional pathways within psychology.
Learning includes lectures, tutorials, seminars, group work, research tasks, data analysis, independent study and work-related learning. Assessment may include essays, reports, research projects, data analysis, presentations, class tests and dissertation work.
