What You Need to Apply

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

To study an undergraduate degree at UWS London, you must meet both academic and English language requirements. We accept a wide range of international qualifications, and our team is here to help you understand what you need before you apply.

Academic Requirements

To enter an undergraduate programme at UWS London, you must meet the minimum academic requirements based on your previous studies. In general, applicants should have:

  • Successful completion of high school or secondary education equivalent to UK Level 3
  • Qualifications equivalent to A-levels, Highers, IB, or recognised international equivalents
  • Required grades or subject combinations depending on the programme
  • Strong performance in relevant subjects, especially for business, computing, and health-related pathways

Some programmes may have additional requirements, including specific subjects or minimum grades. For full, programme-specific details, please visit the relevant course page.

If you are unsure whether your qualifications meet entry standards, our Admissions Team can assess them for you.

Country-Specific Requirements

Undergraduate entry requirements vary depending on the education system in your country. These differences reflect how international high school qualifications compare to UK Level 3 standards.

We are currently developing a full set of country-specific guidance pages. Until these are launched, our recruitment team will provide personalised advice based on your academic background. They can assist with:

  • Understanding how your school-leaving qualifications compare to UK Level 3
  • Whether your grades meet typical entry requirements
  • Whether any additional evidence is needed
  • Guidance for applicants using foundation, diploma, or college qualifications

Our Recruitment Team is available to support you. If you need help understanding your eligibility, please contact us and we will advise based on your qualifications and country of study.

English Language Requirements

All applicants must demonstrate sufficient English proficiency to succeed on their course. You can meet this requirement through one of the following:

  • IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, with minimum scores in each component
  • Alternative recognised tests such as PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, or Cambridge English exams
  • Accepted school-leaving English qualifications, depending on your country
  • A Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter, if applicable and accepted for your programme

If you do not yet meet the required English level, you may be able to take a recognised test or complete a pre-sessional English course before joining your degree.
