How to make a referral
  1. Contact your existing/previous admissions officer and get their unique link.
  2. Fill out the form below with you and your friends’ details.
  3. Your friend will be contacted by a member of the team who will discuss their eligibility and potential programmes.
  4. If eligible, your friend will be instructed to submit an application confirming your details as the referee.
  5. You will receive £300 once your friend has:
    • Successfully enrolled onto their programme.
    • Paid their first fee payment.
    • Completed their first month of study.
Eligibility criteria

Referral form must be completed before the candidate has submitted a formal application for the partner university.

Those referring a friend (Referrer) must fulfil one of the conditions below:

  • Be a current or alumni student of UWS London, and recruited by TEG
  • Hold an active offer letter from UWS London

Those being referred (Prospective student) must:

  • Not have previously enquired or applied for a programme through TEG.
  • Not using an agency to assist with their application.
  • Be aged 18 years old or over at the time of referral.

The scheme

  • Only students applying through TEG are eligible for this offer.
  • The scheme is not open to, agents or contractors of TEG regardless of whether they are current students or alumni.
  • TEG will permit a maximum of 3 successful referrals per Referrer per academic year.
  • Prospective Students who intend to take advantage of a third-party scholarship can apply to the scheme or who are intending to use Student Finance to help fund their studies.
  • The Prospective Student must complete an online enquiry form to express their interest in consideration as to their eligibility for the scheme. Completion of the online form for this scheme will constitute acceptance of these terms.
  • Prospective Students who register with a Representative / Education Agent at any time are not eligible for this scheme.
  • An application to the scheme cannot be made after enrolment.
  • Any personal data relating to a Prospective Student will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without consent.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, the country of residence of a Prospective student will be determined by the address detailed on their original application.
  • By using or participating in this Student Referral Scheme, the current student or alumni known as the ‘referrer’ is bound by these terms and conditions and indicates their agreement to them. By participating, the referrer agrees that all of TEG’s decisions are final and binding.

The new student must comply with the following conditions:

  • Submit an application and include the full name and Banner ID of their referrer.
  • Successfully complete admissions process.
  • Enrol onto chosen programme of study at the partner institution.
  • Have paid their fees or completed the necessary arrangements to ensure that the Student Loan Company pays the fee to the partner institution.
  • The referrer will only receive payment for each new student referred, provided:
    • The referred student has successfully enrolled onto their programme at the partner institution.
    • The referred student provides their referrer’s full name and student ID at the time of application.
  • TEG has confirmed that the first instalment of the referred student’s tuition fees has been made.

Changes to the Student Referral Scheme

  • TEG reserves the right to change the format of the student referral scheme, amend the terms and conditions or withdraw the scheme at any time.
  • TEG’s decision is final.

Governing Law

  • Any disputes or claim arising out of or in connection with these conditions or their subject matter shall be governed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
  • Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these conditions or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
  • TEG needs to collect, store and process personal data about its staff, students, and other individuals it has dealings with, to carry out our functions and activities. TEG is a controller for most of the personal data it processes and is committed to full compliance with the applicable data protection legislation including The Data Protection Act 2018 and the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
  • Due to data protection and privacy regulations, the referrer will not receive any updates on the new student’s application or tuition fee payment status, except to be notified once the tuition fee has been received and so to request the referrer’s details for payment purposes.

Payment

  • *The referrer is entitled to a referral payment of £300 per new student where all terms and conditions of the student referral scheme are satisfied. For any avoidance of doubt, it is the referrers responsibility to ensure that any income that needs to be declared to HMRC is done so in accordance with taxation regulations.
  • Payments will be made approximately 2 months after course start date. Timescales vary depending on the course being studied. 
  • The TEG accounts team will collect payment details ahead of payment and the referrer will be notified of the payment amount before the payment is made.
  • Payments will be made by bank transfer only (BACS).
  • No payment will be made if any tuition fees are in arrears for either the referrer or the new student.
