Introduction
In cases where prospective students do not meet the minimum English language requirements for entry to a course, they can choose to study a pre-sessional English programme.
About the course
This is a summer programme that takes place over the course of 10 weeks. It intends to help students to improve their English capabilities prior to the start of their degree.
This programme prepares students for academia by enhancing their written and verbal communication skills (in English). Over the course of the programme, you will join group discussions, give presentations, and write essays in English. In this way, students will complete the course feeling confident in their English ability and will be able to participate fully in seminars, discussions, and projects.
Entry Requirements
Since the focus of this course is to improve the English language skills of students, the only entry requirements are as follows:
- IELTS qualification with a score of 5.0 and no sub-scores dipping below 4.5.
Tuition Costs for 2023/24
The pre-sessional English Language module is intended for non-native English speakers, and as such, the cost of tuition fees is £3,370.
Tuition Costs for 2024/25
The pre-sessional English Language module is intended for non-native English speakers, and as such, the cost of tuition fees is £3,440.
