What Can You Do with a Leadership Degree?

Our MBA with leadership course is designed specifically for business professionals looking to take their careers to the next level and move into leadership roles. The one-year course builds on the knowledge students have already developed in their undergraduate studies as well as in previous professional roles. To begin the course, students must complete three core modules that focus on leading and managing a business, professional management skills, and creating business advantage. As part of the leadership pathway, students are required to complete an additional core module on emerging leadership and development as well as an optional module which they can choose based on their specific interests. During the dissertation stage of the program, students must complete either a strategic business project or developing professional practice, which allows them to take everything they’ve learned throughout their career as well as the course into action. The aim of UWS’s MBA with leadership is to give students the skill set necessary to work in the world of business which is constantly changing. Management analysts help companies improve their efficiency, create value and address operational problems. Often, they are hired by companies as contractors or consultants and are brought in for a short period of time to identify issues and implement changes. It’s beneficial to companies to hire a management analyst because they bring an outsider’s perspective of the company. In order to fully understand how the company currently operates, a management analyst will sit down with executives and other employees, sit in on meetings, observe employees at work and review company data on finances and performance. Management analysts need to have strong business and analytical skills to be able to take what they saw while observing a company and create a thorough plan of action to help the company get the results they want.

They do market research to stay up to date on the latest trends and tactics and use what they find paired with their extensive marketing knowledge and expertise to create a unique campaign to help their company stand out from competitors. Depending on the company, marketing managers can also be responsible for looking into market demand to determine product pricing. Successful marketing managers need to be able to think outside the box and have strong communication skills. As managers, they oversee a team of marketers, and the skillset developed during an MBA with leadership course can help them to be strong and effective leaders.
