Why study MSc Information Technology?

The first, and perhaps most attractive quality of the MSc in IT, is that it can significantly enhance your career prospects. Previous graduates of this course have gone on to flourish in their careers for big technology companies like IBM, Dell, Amazon, and Adobe Systems. Popular career routes post-graduation includes IT consultancy and development.

This course does not require you to have a background in computing beforehand. Therefore, students without a background in technology can pivot their careers in that direction. It gives those without an academic background in IT the chance to develop a strong academic standing in this area. Students can then go on to specialise by continuing with further study.

Entry Requirements

An attractive feature about this course is that it does not require an academic background in computing or IT. Therefore, the MSc in IT is suited to students with an academic background in Business, Science, Engineering, Social Science, and humanities.

However, it should be noted that prospective students should have achieved at least a 2:2 Honours degree prior to application. Alternatively, if you do not have a degree qualification, you should have gained substantial work experience that is directly relevant to this course.
