The BA (Hons) Business & Marketing course combines a broad business foundation with specialist marketing knowledge and practical marketing skills.
You will study business, management and marketing subjects, with pathway-specific modules that explore how organisations understand audiences, communicate value, build brands and respond to changing markets. The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
You will learn through lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, presentations, reports, business plans, project work and case study activity, helping you connect marketing theory with professional practice.
This course is for students who want to understand how businesses operate and how marketing shapes customer behaviour, brand strategy and organisational growth. It is suitable if you are interested in marketing communications, consumer behaviour, branding, digital marketing, sales, advertising or public relations.
Graduates can use this degree as a route into marketing, brand management, communications, digital marketing, market research, sales, advertising, public relations, business development or wider graduate roles. You may also progress to postgraduate study or further professional marketing qualifications.

The course is delivered on campus. Full-time students can expect around three hours of contact time per module each week, with three modules typically taken each term. Learning may include lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, seminars, case studies, presentations, business plans and project plans.
You will develop business and marketing knowledge alongside skills in communication, analysis, creativity, team working, digital literacy, presentation and problem-solving.
