The MSc International Management course gives you access to a broad range of management disciplines while developing critical insight into contemporary developments in management and organisational theory and practice.
You will explore international business management, leadership, organisational performance, strategic management and research methods. The course is designed to help you apply management theory to complex situations where a high level of managerial competence is required.
Learning is student-centred and research-informed, combining workshops, seminars, case studies, individual projects, group projects and independent study.
This course is for graduates who want to build advanced knowledge of international management and develop the skills needed for management, leadership, consultancy or organisational roles in a global business context.
Graduates may progress into management, leadership, consultancy, operations, organisational development or international business roles. The course can also support progression to doctoral study or professional institute qualifications in a specialist management area.
Study international business, leadership, strategic management and multinational organisational performance.
Use case studies, projects and practical problem-solving to connect management theory with real organisational challenges.
Choose between a traditional dissertation and a Developing Professional Practice project route.
Students choose either Developing Professional Practice or the MSc International Management Dissertation as the 60-credit final project route.
Teaching is delivered face-to-face through workshops, seminars, case studies, individual and group projects and independent learning. Assessment may include case studies, presentations, project work and formal examinations, with the dissertation or professional practice project acting as an integrative Masters-level assessment.
There are no formal placement arrangements. Students can experience work-based learning through private employment or volunteering, and may take the Developing Professional Practice module instead of the dissertation where appropriate.
Students who complete 180 credits, including all required core modules, are eligible for the MSc International Management award. Graduates may progress to doctoral study or further professional qualifications.
